
I worked as a brand and social media consultant for a small esthetics business in Gilbert, Arizona. Robin Hallows has over 19 years of experience and has owned her own studio for 9 years, she understands the importance of a clear business plan and marketing strategies. Social media is a tool she’s wanted to take advantage of, but she’s been unsure of how to start. After Robin hired me to help her, I asked about her social media goals. Robin had four social media goals: solidify branding, educate on products and services, increase leads/sales and convert her followers into loyal consumers.
Once I knew what she hoped for from my work, I created my own set of goals that aligned with her’s. My goals for this project were to help Robin solidify her brand, create an effective marketing strategy, and provide her with the resources to be a successful social media practitioner after my work is done.
Post-graduation, I want to work as a social media manager and branding consultant and ideally work within the beauty and cosmetics industry. For my project, I created a style guide and logo, social media marketing plan, and enough content (18 posts and captions for Instagram and Facebook) for a 3 week social media campaign. This project is designed to showcase my creative and analytical strengths to future employers and to accomplish mine and Robin’s goals.
