A podcast created to help individuals find freedom from pornography.
Project Purpose
I have always wanted to use my skills in video and audio production to promote a cause that I believe in. The Freedom From Pornography Podcast gave me that opportunity.
The primary goal the past 12 weeks was to create the “Freedom from Pornography” podcast. This podcast was created to offer support and guidance to individuals seeking help with pornography problems. By sharing stories, strategies, and insights, the podcast was to empower listeners on their journey towards freedom from pornography.
My role encompassed the end-to-end production of the podcast, including scheduling, recording, editing, crafting engaging descriptions and titles, and publishing the episodes online.
Project Samples
Below are two clips from the Freedom From Pornography podcast along with the podcast cover art. Each podcast is 45 minutes to 1 hour long. The podcast recordings typically feature the owner of the company, Marie. However we have other podcasts with various guests and other Freedom From Pornography team members.
Challenges Encountered
Throughout the project, we encountered several challenges. One of the most difficult challenges was aligning schedules with coaches, guests and the production team. Scheduling proved to be a significant challenge that we were able to overcome with extra planning and flexibility from team members.
Also, an unexpected setback occurred when the podcast was deleted from its hosting platform two weeks ago for unknown reasons. We are in the process of trouble shooting to restore the podcast. We have plans to re-upload episodes and continue our mission.
Project Processes
The creation of the “Freedom from Pornography” podcast involved several key steps:
- Pre-Production: Planning episode topics, scheduling recording times, identifying and contacting potential guests.
- Production: Conducting recording sessions, (filming if the podcast was in person) focusing on creating a comfortable and open environment for meaningful conversations and useful tools for listeners.
- Post-Production: Editing episodes to ensure optimal sound quality, as well as creating engaging and informative titles and descriptions for each episode.
- Distribution: Uploading episodes to our podcast hosting platform and promoting them across our social media to reach our audience.
An Overview of my Experiences
This project has been instrumental in my professional development, particularly in enhancing my audio editing and podcast production skills.
I was able to learn more about audio processing, from improving sound quality to crafting an interesting listening experience for our audience. Beyond technical skills, this project deepened my understanding of effective storytelling and content creation.
It has been a beautiful experience to help a business with a cause that I believe in grow, and reach more people, ultimately helping them on their journey to pornography freedom.

My biggest takeaways were:

- Technical Proficiency: The technical aspects of podcast production, from recording to editing, are skills that I will carry forward in my career.
