Emphasis in Strategic Organization
On November 16th, 2024, I had the opportunity to organize a highly successful event for Rexburg’s Bucked Up store—the Winter Arc Kick-off Event, held from 12-4pm. This event was a major milestone in my senior project, where I worked closely with store owners Brady Gardner and Doug Webster to plan, promote, and execute a unique in-store experience that generated impressive results for the business.
Event Planning & Execution
The Bucked Up Winter Arc Kick-off was designed to bring excitement to the community, boost sales, and bring awareness for the Rexburg location. My role was to handle everything from event promotion to logistics and organization. Together with Brady and Doug, we:
- Chose the date, time, and location (Rexburg Bucked Up store)
- Strategized on inventory—ensuring we had enough stock to meet demand
- Planned an giving the 50% off sale and a “Buy One, Get One Free” energy drink offer
- Organized a competitive element with a dead hang challenge, where participants could win a free energy drink.
Promoting the Event
A significant portion of my time was spent creating promotional flyers and advertising across Rexburg. I designed a flyer and a webpage for the event and ran the Rexburg Bucked Up Instagram account to promote the event through reels and stories.
The real key to the event’s success was face to face marketing: I hand-delivered flyers throughout Rexburg, making sure the right people knew about the event. I distributed flyers to most BYUI apartment complexes, as well as local gyms like FitOne, 24-Hour Fitness, Bodifi, and the BYUI student gym—targeting the exact audience who would be most interested in the fitness-themed brand.


The Results: A Record-Breaking Day
The results were outstanding. The Winter Arc Kick-off Event generated $13,637.82 in gross sales for the Rexburg Bucked Up location—a 1,743.97% increase in sales compared to the previous average Saturday, which only generated $739.59.

Another amazing part of this event was being able to be recognized by the CEO and Founder of the business, Bucked Up down in Utah. They reached out and congratulated us on such a successful event. This is exciting because it will allow for open doors and job opportunities in the near future.
Overall, the Bucked Up Winter Arc Kick-off Event proved to be a huge win for both the store and myself. Not only did it generate significant revenue, but it also showcased my ability to plan and execute a successful event, leveraging both digital and in-person marketing strategies. The success of the event was proof to the hard work and collaboration involved, and I’m proud to have been able to pull it off!
