Comprehensive Branding and Signage Creation by Marissa Kissner

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to enhance the newly built office and visual identity of Pendlebury Law through a cohesive branding strategy that includes logo design, signage, website updates, and updated stationery. First, I will create a modern, professional logo that reflects the values and expertise of the law office, involving initial sketches, digital drafts, and client feedback sessions. Additionally, I will collaborate with local manufacturers to design and produce both exterior and interior signage for their new building, including wayfinding signs and office nameplates, ensuring consistency with the new logo and branding. The website will need to be updated to feature the new building, logo and branding. Finally, I will develop cohesive business cards, letterheads, and other professional materials that align with the new identity. This project aims to elevate Pendlebury Law Offices’ branding and visual presence, helping them stand out in a competitive market while enhancing their newly constructed building.

Challenges Encountered

Manufacturer Delays – The office signage has experienced significant delays due to unforeseen extensions requested by the local signage manufacturer. All necessary materials and communication of project items were shared with the vendor in accordance with the proposed project schedule. The client and I are still awaiting final mockups of all interior and exterior signage for approval before execution. I am actively working with the manufacturer to address the issue and establish a new timeline for completion early next year.

Extensive Website Revisions – Another ongoing challenge encountered was addressing the client’s evolving preferences in the website creation portion. This resulted in a higher-than-anticipated volume of revisions requested causing delays to the project timeline. Currently the client and I are awaiting the final approved revisions from the web developers, expected late next week. https://fkj.f9d.myftpupload.com/

Project Processes

Step 1: Initial consultations and concept development, research. Utilizing Pinterest or other websites to draw insipriation and prepare for the initial consultations.

Step 2: Design revisions and approvals. Working with Adobe programs to draft initial sketches, digital drafts for client feedback/approval.

Step 3: Collaboration with manufacturers and production. Combination of in person meetings and virtual renders will need to be included.

Step 4: Website and stationery completion. WordPress and Adobe programs will be used to update the branding across the board.

Overview of the Experience

Despite the challenges encountered, my overall experience of the comprehensive branding and signage creation was highly rewarding. Collaborating with Pendlebury Law and my mentor proved to be a dynamic partnership. Together, we navigated obstacles with adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset, resulting in significant enhancements to Pendlebury Law Offices’ branding and visual identity. This included logo design, website updates, and stationery development, all of which have already received positive feedback. I look forward to finalizing the signage and website in the coming year, further solidifying the firm’s professional presence.

Insights or Takeaways

One key insight I gained from this project is the importance of collaborative timeline development. Engaging vendors in the timeline creation process, rather than simply informing them of deadlines, allows for greater alignment and buy-in. This approach could have provided a clearer understanding of potential delays and a more realistic assessment of what could be achieved within the given timeframe.
