Revive Your Thirst: Gatorade Ad Campaign

I developed a complete and comprehensive marketing strategy for Gatorade in a can. The project included a full-scale lifestyle video showcasing the product in action, professional product photography to highlight its design and appeal, and mock advertising campaigns tailored for both Meta and Google platforms. The strategy aimed to position the canned Gatorade as a fresh, modern take on a classic sports drink, targeting active, on-the-go consumers. This project demonstrated my ability to conceptualize, create, and execute a full marketing campaign from start to finish.

This project required hours of dedicated work, creativity, and coordination. Developing the marketing plan for Gatorade in a can pushed me to think strategically about branding, audience targeting, and storytelling. Organizing a full video shoot was one of the most demanding aspects—it took careful planning, location scouting, and flexible scheduling to work around the busy lives of other college students involved in the shoot. The process was challenging but deeply rewarding, and it showcased my ability to lead a project from idea to execution.

I created the ad campaigns by first thinking about who the product was for—busy, active people who want quick hydration. I looked at what other successful brands were doing, then came up with bold visuals and short, catchy messages to match. Each ad was designed to feel fresh, simple, and on-brand for Gatorade.

My video features a reverse poem paired with shots of athletes training, competing, and pushing their limits, all while drinking Gatorade in a can. I wanted it to be inspiring and high-energy, showing the transformation from doubt to determination. The reverse poem added emotional depth, while the visuals showed how Gatorade supports athletes through every failure and success.

My Takeaways

My biggest personal takeaway from this project is how much creativity, planning, and leadership it takes to bring a full campaign to life. From managing schedules to directing a video shoot and designing ad content, I learned how to turn a simple product idea into a full brand experience. It pushed me to think big, stay organized, and trust my creative instincts—all skills I’ll carry with me into future projects and my career.
