Project Overview
I worked as the communication consultant for the 2025 City Council Campaign of Stephanie Taylor-Thompson, in Idaho Falls. I had three primary roles within the campaign communication; first was as a guide, second, a creator, third, an analyst. Working with Stephanie was an invaluable learning experience. I had the opportunity to clearly see the value of professional communication skills in the workforce. At the core of organizational leadership are those who understand how to help people maximize their potential, skills, and expertise. Stephanie trusted me with this opportunity. Together we navigated how she could bring her vision, her personal story, and personal initiatives to a city council campaign. This project matters to me because outside of being an informed voter I have no prior experience working campaigns or in the political realm. This again highlights that the principles of critical thinking, organization, criteria-based decision making, creativity, and collaboration are crucial skills needed in every field of work. Additionally this proved to myself that I have the ability to be adaptable, learn quickly, and rise to a challenge.
