About the Company
Native American Fatherhood and Families Association (NAFFA) is a non-profit organization in Mesa, Arizona, that has a mission: “To strengthen, keep, and reunite families by responsibly involving fathers and mothers in the lives of their children, families, and communities.”
They do this through their curriculum, which enables people to become facilitators and take it back to their communities. They also have a wellness organization that allows them to help those in their community, along with a new youth program that targets and helps youth.
Project Overview
For this project, I worked with NAFFA to make a blog campaign to help promote their outreach efforts, training department, the Wellness organization, the youth program, and a blog about the founder of NAFFA. Then I created a content calendar with each blog and the promotion for each blog, which included a post, a set of stories, an email that would go out the same day to announce the blog post, and an adjusted newsletter to include a section that included the blogs.
Findings
This project showed that the blogs that were posted on the weekend were viewed 35% more, and the ones that were posted at the beginning of the week were viewed 38% more, with the increased promotion. Similarly, on social media, Facebook post interactions were up 1% when posted during the week rather than the weekend, and on Instagram, the viewing of stories was up 17%. Showing that content should be posted at the beginning of the week and throughout, and not on the weekend, because it will not receive a ton of interaction and will not give the desired outcome.
