Project Summary
My senior project will be inviting the community of Rexburg, Sugar City, Rigby, St. Anthony and Idaho Falls to attend an event that will address relevant issues which are affecting our community. The topic for Rexburg’s Conversation is Addiction Recovery. We will have three specific topics: Eating Disorders, Pornography Addiction and Substance Use.
We will have facilitators that have direct experience with one of the three topics. To begin the activity, we will have a guest speaker introduce all three topics. Then, they will break out into small groups. There will be three tables where these facilitators will share their stories. After 20-30 minutes, the groups will rotate and go to the next table and topic.
There will be a table for resources. There will be a wallet-sized card, or accordion card, that will have specific resources for each topic. There will also be two per topic, one for families and one for individuals.
I have, and will continue, to have weekly meeting with our partner at Center for Hope. We meet every Wednesday for thirty minutes at 9:30am. There is an agenda sent out beforehand and a summary of the meeting sent by Friday.
I have done lots of research to find resources within our community for these topics. I have spent hours researching. Each week I spend at least 1-2 hours working on the agenda and meeting summary. I also spend many hours creating content to send out to those resources to invite them to our Community Conversation on March 29.
I am also designing the handouts or resource cards. There will be a total of 6. 2 for each topic, and 1 for family and 1 for individual.
After the Conversation, I will also be helping with the analytics of the event. How many people were there and what they thought of the event.

Good afternoon!
My name is Kelsey Echols. I am a member of the non-profit organization, Voice Advocacy.
Through the support of The Center for Hope, we will be putting on an event for the Rexburg community. It is to discuss Addictions and Recovery. It will comprise three topics that are relatable to the families and individuals within our community: Substance Abuse, Pornography Abuse and Eating Disorders.
I am the project manager for this event, or what we like to call a Community Conversation. I am so excited to be able to help bring the community together to talk about such prevalent issues in our community.
The event will take place on March 29 from 7-9pm. Madison Cares is kind enough to donate their space to the Conversation.

Email Invitation for Logo’s to be Added to Flyers
The Center for Hope and Voice Advocacy are excited to have you join our Rexburg Community Conversation on March 29. We are thankful for your support and willingness to give your time to our community.
Our intention for this Community Conversation is to Reduce Stigma, Facilitate Collaboration and to Identify Resources and Constructive Actions for the following Table Topics:

· Eating Disorders
We are creating flyers, social media posts and posters. If you are interested in having your organization’s logo on these invitations, please send a PNG of the logo. We will be sending these invitations out by next Wednesday, March 16.
