We Should Write A Book- Podcast and Social Media

Objectives

The objective of my project was to create branding, Spotify Podcast, and Instagram account for We Should Write A Book.

The Podcast shares the stories and experiences of six college roommates at BYU-Idaho. Topics vary from dating, funny stories and career choices. The purpose of this project was to create a platform for BYU-Idaho students to share their thoughts and experiences with others in a light-hearted manner.

Challenges

Some of the challenges I experienced while completing my project included brainstorming content ideas for both podcast episodes and social media, increasing engagement on both platforms, and figuring out how to create and record a podcast.

Project Process

I began this project by creating a brand kit to understand the image and tone. I then created the Instagram and Spotify accounts. I then was able to schedule time with everyone involved and set times to create content. I organized weekly content releases for the podcast and Instagram content three times a week.

Takeaways

After completing this project, my knowledge of creating and maintaining a social media presence has greatly increased. However, a vital experience for me was becoming familiar with creating a new podcast, the steps involved and the most effective way to do so.
