Project Summary
Over 18 days, I embarked on a project to create a series of movie posters that explored various genres and themes. Upon completing the project, I selected my 15 strongest designs and refined them until I was satisfied. This project demonstrates how thematic grouping influenced my design choices and creative process. By categorizing the posters into distinct themes, I identified common visual elements and gained a deeper understanding of how themes shape storytelling in visual media.
I chose five genres to focus on and identified the common design elements within each genre. The movies are grouped into the following categories: Disney, Drama, Coming of Age, Action/Adventure, and Horror/Thriller.
