Challenges Encountered
One of the biggest challenges I faced was finding the right balance between being creative and staying consistent with EIDS’s brand. It was tricky to keep content fresh every month while still making sure it felt new and on-message. Another challenge was figuring out what types of posts would get the most engagement. Some posts did really well, while others didn’t get as much attention, which taught me the importance of being flexible and adjusting the content strategy as needed. Tracking social media analytics was also a learning experience. It took time to figure out which metrics mattered most and how to use them to improve future posts. Lastly, staying on top of deadlines for content creation and campaign execution was tough, especially with other projects going on at the same time. These challenges pushed me to become better at time management, problem-solving, and thinking on my feet.
Project Processes
I’ve made significant progress on developing the year-long social media plan. The content calendar is set, aligned with key awareness months, holidays, and events. Highlighting family stories and promoting events. In terms of community engagement, I’ve been actively responding to comments and messages while running interactive posts like polls and live Q&A sessions. For analytics, I’ve been tracking engagement and growth through Facebook Insights and adjusting strategies as needed. Lastly, I’ve started campaigns like Down Syndrome Awareness Month and Giving Tuesday.
