
Objective
Fake Tan by Han is my spray tanning business where not only do I do spray tans but I sell my own line of self tanning products. My objective the past 14 weeks has been to grow my Instagram account by being more active on my account. Not only that but I worked on the marketing my products and services working with local businesses.
The Project
- Creating a content calendar and creating content to upload
- Consistency. Posting 3x per week and posting stories 5x per week. Making at least 2 of the stories interactive.
- Working with local businesses to either do collaborations with or having my business cards at their store.
- Researching trends or other successful business pages to try and implement popular tactics to my page.
- Being active! Responding to all comments and direct messages.
Taking Action




During this 14 week campaign I had the opportunity to do a booth for Teton Crossfit and ZZ Coffee and The Plant Box. These were incredible opportunities to not only sell tanners but to get my business card in peoples hands. I also was able to meet other small business owners and network with them for potential future collaborations.
Content Calendar
I took out least one day of the week to create content to fill in the content calendar. This looked like finding sounds, trending reels, filming, remaking, and editing videos. I’d also make graphics, and find old client pics that showed off their tan or tan lines, I’d make a lot of content ready to post and have it scheduled on the content calendar with captions and hashtags. This is a picture of my content calendar and my Instagram page is now identical to this. This was a great tool to navigate what I was posting and when I was posting it.

Conclusion
This was a fabulous campaign for me to take a step out of my comfort zone. I got in front of the camera more. I also networked at events. It is important to show the face behind the business and create those connections because in the long run I received new followers, however I did loose 30 followers. But overall I did sell product and I gained more clients that came in for a spray tan. Overall, I grew my connection with my audience, and that was an important outcome to me.
