Wheel By Daylight TikTok Page

From Concept to Chaos: The Journey of Wheel By Daylight

Hello, my name is Everett Spellman, and my goal was to make a TikTok page named, the Wheel By Daylight. If you’ve ever played the video game, Dead by Daylight, you know the feeling… The pre game lobby jitters, the internal debate over which perks will actually save your skin, and the inevitable realization that the Entity has a cruel sense of humor.

But what if we took that choice out of our hands entirely? That’s where I got the idea of the Wheel By Daylight.

The Spark of Inspiration

Every great project starts with a What if? for me, that what if, came while scrolling through TikTok. I stumbled across Wheel of Faith, an account that uses a randomization wheel to dictate their gameplay and battles with creating all-original characters. Watching them navigate the chaos of a build they didn’t choose was not only entertaining, it was inspiring.

I loved the purity of the RNG (Random Number Generation). It takes away the planning and forces you to play the game in ways you never intended. I knew I wanted to bring that same energy to the fictional universe of Dead By Daylight, but with my own personal twist.

Turning the Spokes

The transition from a cool idea to an actual project took quite a lot of legwork. I spent time:

  • Curating the wheels: Making sure every killer, perk, and challenge was represented so it was all equal chance
  • Finding the Vibe: I wanted the project to feel authentic to the Dead By Daylight community, a little dark, and a lot of fun.
  • The Learning Curve: Learning the ropes of recording and editing so the spins felt as impactful as the gameplay of the real game itself.

It wasn’t just about playing the game, it was about creating a narrative where the Wheel is the true antagonist.

I am posting on TikTok! After weeks of planning and testing, I am beyond excited to say that Wheel By Daylight is officially live on TikTok. Hitting that post button was a mix of nerves and adrenaline. Seeing the first few comments and likes roll in has made the whole process worth it. I’m committed to seeing it through.

If you want to see the spins (and the inevitable fails) in action, come find me over on TikTok! @WheelByDaylight on TikTok.
