Event planning and advertising events are time consuming jobs. My senior project was focused on this. I started a Non-Profit with a few other motivated people called The Millstone Guild. Our Non-Profit is focused on ending human sex-trafficking. My project was focused on putting on a benefit dinner and silent auction to raise money. We partnered up with Operation Underground Railroad for this event. Our event consisted of dinner, a guest speaker from O.U.R. and of course, the silent auction with some amazing prizes. (Including rock climbing lessons, a queen size Hero mattress and a two-way trip anywhere that JetBlue flies around the U.S. and the world). The benefit dinner went very smoothly, and we were able to raise $11,540 to donate directly to O.U.R.
