This goal of this project was to produce a new graphics package for the BYU-Idaho Department of AV & Broadcast Productions live video team to use during intermural/intracollegiate sports games and tournaments. Currently, the university’s intermural sports program, administered by Student Activities department, has tournaments in the Hart Auditorium for basketball and volleyball, which are held during winter and spring semesters each year.

The university’s AV & Broadcast Productions department provides video and audio support, including in-house audio, live video cameras which show game play on projection screens during the game, and a live video internet stream which allows viewers to watch the game play shown in-house and is recorded. The AV & Broadcast Productions department is housed in and operated from the BYU-Idaho Center AV Floor.

The project was to design and create a graphics package for both volleyball and basketball, consisting of a score bug for each, lower thirds, full screen graphics, graphics showing the names of starters for each team, halftime and media break graphics(such as “dance cam”), auxiliary graphics(providing information such as team jersey colors, announcer names, game location, and timeouts), and a university logo bug.
