BODIFI Social Media – Megan Chormicle

Project Purpose/Objectives

The purpose of this project was to serve as the social media content creator for Bodifi, a gym in Idaho. The main objectives were to optimize their overall reach, increase engagement, and attract more customers on their Instagram and Facebook pages. By working closely with the manager and employees, I aimed to establish a better brand image, develop a daily posting schedule, and create engaging content that aligns with industry best practices and Bodifi’s sales calendar. By tracking social media key performance indicators (KPIs), it helped me evaluate the success of the social media campaigns and provide insights into effective promotion and audience engagement.

Project Overview

As the social media content creator for Bodifi, I collaborated with the gym’s management and employees to optimize the brand’s social media presence. The project involved various responsibilities, including building on their (already established) style guide and brand aesthetic vision, developing a daily posting schedule, and creating ads/flyers to attract more customers. I utilized tools such as Adobe InDesign, Express, Lightroom, and InShot for content creation, and Google Meet and Zoom for communication purposes.

Samples of Work Produced/Final Product

Throughout the project, I produced a range of content for Bodifi’s social media platforms. This included a combination of Instagram Reels, flyers, and professional photos. The goal was to create engaging and visually appealing content that resonated with their target audience. Additionally, I ensured a consistent brand image across all social media feeds and paid ads, aligning with Bodifi’s overall marketing objectives.

Challenges Encountered

While working on the project, I encountered a few challenges that required creative problem-solving and adaptability. Some of the challenges included:

1. Content Consistency: Ensuring a consistent posting schedule and maintaining a high-quality content stream required careful planning and coordination with Bodifi’s team. They had never had any sort of content structure, so teaching them and implementing this was very new to the brand.

2. Audience Engagement: Encouraging active engagement from followers and attracting new customers required experimenting with different content formats and optimizing social media strategies. Bodifi’s original audience was not used to the new posting structure, so keeping them engaged and not annoyed, was a process in and of itself.

3. Time Management: Juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines for content creation, posting, and KPI tracking demanded efficient time management skills. I had to make sure that I stayed on top of everything while creating quality content.

Project Processes

To achieve the project objectives, I worked closely with Bodifi’s management and employees to understand the brand’s vision, style, and marketing goals. In addition to this, I studied their style guide and helped further establish a brand vision to ensure a consistent and appealing social media presence. I also monitored key performance indicators such as follower count, engagement rate, impressions, and reach to evaluate the success of social media campaigns. Lastly I utilized Adobe InDesign, Express, Lightroom, and InShot to produce visually captivating content, including Instagram Reels, TikTok’s, and professional photos.

Experiences and Insights

Working on this project provided me with amazing experiences in the field of social media marketing and content creation. Some key insights and takeaways from this project were, first, the importance of collaboration. Effective communication and collaboration with Bodifi’s team were vital for understanding their brand, values, and marketing objectives. The next thing I found important was strategic planning. Developing a comprehensive content calendar and tracking their KPIs helped measure the success of the campaigns and guide my future content strategies. Lastly, I understood the power of continuous learning. Before this project, I thought I knew everything there was to know about social media. Keeping up with industry trends, experimenting with different content formats, and analyzing audience responses were essential for ongoing improvement and growth. This project taught me that you can never stop growing!

Having the opportunity to work as the social media content creator for Bodifi Idaho has been an extremely enriching experience, allowing me to apply my skills and creativity in a real-world setting. The project’s objectives were centered around optimizing the brand’s reach, increasing engagement, and attracting more customers. Through effective collaboration, content creation, strategic planning, and tracking KPIs, I successfully achieved these objectives. The challenges encountered during the project provided me with valuable learning opportunities, and the overall experience has enhanced my understanding of social media marketing and content creation. For that, I am and will always be very grateful.
