Purpose of Project
The main purpose of this project was to develop new skills and to expand my future job opportunities. The project I decided to do was a podcast that covered all the aspects of life, from religion, to love, relationships, and pop culture. The purpose of this was to create a community of people with similar views, takes on life, and interest.
The Project
My podcast, The Way Life Goes was comprised of 4 episodes, one posted every 2 weeks. The podcast was advertised for only 1 week before the first episode was published. The projects main objective was to create a small community of like minded people in a similar stage of life.
Challenges Encountered
There were just a couple of challenges that I encountered during this process. The main struggle was sound quality. I had to record in several locations to find which location proved to give the best quality sound. The other struggle was getting the equiptment set up and working, it took a lot of time and trial and error to get it right.
Project Process
For this podcast, there were several steps that I took to get this project started. First I set up an Instagram account to advertise the podcast and to start gaining a community who would be invested in the podcast. After starting a social media page, I set up the podcast on Spotify, Apple podcasts, and Amazon Music. I began choosing topics and writing scripts. Once the scripts were written I recorded the episode, edited it, and published it. The final step in the process was to announce the new episode on Instagram.
