Project Purpose
I designed a sales booklet for a company called Luxe Home Improvement, specifically their Gutter Installation team. The purpose of the booklet was to increase their customer trust and improve sales. Now that the booklet is completed, it will be left with each potential customer during in-person meetings (for example, when the sales team takes measurements and delivers a quote at the customer’s home). This project will help the company have better relationships with their customers and establish trust.
The Project
The booklet has three to four pages of content, various photos, explanations of different products and their purposes, and customer reviews. This is to build trust with the customer. It also gives them the necessary information to add more to their desired quote or to share it with a friend.

Challenges
It took a lot of work to make it look professional visually and have no grammatical or wording errors to be taken seriously. The target audience is homeowners looking for gutters. We wanted to gear it to new neighborhoods where they have greater needs for gutter installations, so the audience would want a higher-end, professional feel to the booklet rather than a more casual writing. So, creating a book to meet the audience’s preferences was difficult. However, we accomplished a clean look and followed the company’s set color and logo style.
The Process
After two months, the creation of the Luxe Gutters Booklet was completed. Here’s the first link to a series of updates as you follow along: https://youtu.be/wlUOrg2XmVg?si=hwwG1zhQDaFNYEs_
The first step in this process, after discussing with the company, was figuring out the outline, photos, and reviews that were to be put in the booklet. I also found the color scheme and logo used by the company to ensure continuity throughout the booklet. Next, I created an outline draft for what I wanted it to look like (it ended up more like a flyer than a booklet).

After the outline and set up, I filled in the blanks with my gathered information. I created the flyer but, I didn’t love the look so I messed around with it and got the following flyers.

After checking in with the company I transferred it all over and got the final booklet as seen in the beginning of this post.

Here’s a brief video outlining a bit of the book, this project overall, and the journey to create it:
Takeaways
I learned a lot on design, wording, color schemes, persuasion, and more on Canva! It’s so important to work for a company like Luxe Gutters, who knows what they want and give clear guidelines. I also realized that design doesn’t have to be plain to be taken seriously, adding a few pages of color made a big difference. I’m so grateful for this project and for the opportunity to work with Luxe Gutters! It was a great learning opportunity and we will be printing the booklets shortly!
