As part of my Senior Project, I created a PR campaign for Gem State Staffing Rexburg. This campaign is focused on helping to increase awareness and connecting three audiences: local Rexburg residents, BYU-Idaho students, and the Spanish-speaking community by providing them with tailored employment opportunities. My project includes strategies to establish Gem State Staffing as the leading staffing agency in the Rexburg area, highlighting their bilingual services and thorough knowledge of the local job market.
I decided to partner with Gem State Staffing because I’ve seen how effective employment can change lives and help communities. Having many friends in Rexburg, I’ve observed the difficulties that local businesses face when looking for skilled workers, as well as the struggles that some people deal with in finding fulfilling jobs that suit their needs and schedules. Being bilingual, I have a strong commitment to fostering inclusive opportunities that help overcome language barriers and provide access for the often underrepresented Spanish-speaking community in conventional job markets.
My public relations campaign includes focused social media strategies, community activities, networking with local businesses, and initiatives to engage BYU-Idaho students. I’ve created visual content that is professional in appearance but also available in both English and Spanish. The campaign has clear, measurable goals and objectives with defined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor progress and assess effectiveness. During this project, I have included the communication theories and Public Relations principles from my studies at BYU-Idaho while also incorporating my own creative ideas and solutions to address real-world issues.
This project represents the end of my educational journey and my commitment to using my communication skills to create meaningful change in my future career. My campaign seeks to enhance Gem State Staffing’s connections with all parts of our community, thereby promoting local economic growth and providing opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds. I absolutely believe that effective public relations involve more than just promoting a brand; it’s about fostering authentic connections that could benefit communities. This is exactly the goal of my campaign.
