Brownie Points Co. Instagram Rebrand

Project Purpose or Objectives

The goal of this project was to give Brownie Points Co.’s Instagram a fun, fresh new look and help them connect better with their followers. I wanted their brand to feel more like a friendly conversation than a business pitch. That meant creating content that was relatable, consistent, and full of personality. The main focus was to build a recognizable visual style, post content people wanted to engage with, and help the account grow naturally. I also wanted to bring more of the brand’s voice to the front—making it feel personal, community-driven, and approachable.

The Project

I gave the Instagram page a full refresh, starting with a content calendar to keep everything organized. I planned and posted weekly updates including photos, stories, and reels. I filmed behind-the-scenes moments and created fun videos showing off the brand’s personality. I used Canva to design story templates and added things like polls and Q&A stickers to get people involved. I also updated their bio, profile photo, and highlight covers to make everything feel more consistent. Each post mixed creativity with good info—keeping it light and on-brand.

The Before and After:

The Challenges

One of the hardest parts was keeping up with content creation while working with the busy schedule of a small business. The owners were juggling a lot, so I had to stay flexible and ready to adjust. Another challenge was balancing what’s trendy on Instagram with what actually felt right for the brand. Some trends just didn’t fit their vibe, so I had to get creative with adapting them. I also had to pay attention to how Instagram’s algorithm works so posts would reach more people—without trying too hard or losing the brand’s voice.

Project Processes

I started off by talking with the business owners to get a feel for what they wanted and what kind of vibe they were going for. Then I looked over their old posts to figure out what worked and what didn’t. I built mockup posts and a branding guide to define the style we’d stick to and started planning content from there. I used CapCut and Instagram’s built-in tools to edit videos, and Canva for posts and story templates. Each week, I checked how things were doing using Instagram Insights and adjusted the plan when needed.

Overview of Experiences

Working with a real brand in real time was a cool experience. It helped me think on my feet and learn how to mix creativity with strategy. I liked testing small changes—like changing the time a post went up or switching up how we wrote captions—and seeing the impact right away. It was also great working directly with the business owners, pitching ideas, getting feedback, and making things happen as a team.

Insights and Takeaways

This project taught me how helpful it is to have a plan, but also how important it is to be ready to adapt when things shift. I realized that real connection and community matter more than just trying to get followers. People respond better to content that feels human and behind-the-scenes than super polished stuff. Using analytics gave me clearer direction, and overall, this helped me build stronger skills in content creation, branding, and digital communication.
