Objective:
The purpose of this training is to prepare individuals who are entering the workforce to be able to recognize when a conversation may be or become a crucial conversation. There are three ways to identify a crucial conversation, however it can be hard to recognize in the moment when you are in one. This training video provides a variety of tips and tricks that can help individuals to set habits and bring awareness to their conversations. This way they may be able to act in a more professional and dignified way.

Challenges:
The most significant challenge that occurred was sifting through the enormous amount of research and information that is on the internet. I encountered research that seemed to be credible that upon further review did not hold up. On the other hand, there is significant credible research on conversations and interpersonal behavior. Due to this it became difficult to create a guide that did not regurgitate the same information in the same way that is already out there. I found that the best way to work through this was to imagine that I was explaining these concepts to a freshman in high school. This helped me to refine my content to be clear, concise, and consistent.
Project Process:
This project occurred over several stages. The first was gathering resources that could be viable. I knew that I wanted to use Crucial Conversations as a base to build off, but I did not know how that would happen. As I searched for research and content it became clear that there was too much information out there. I decided that I could refine my search using AI. Chat GPT became a helpful tool in helping me to find information that was credible. I asked Chat GPT to look for content that fits my parameters and includes the links it was pulling from. This allowed me to go to the source and determine whether it was credible. Narrowing my searches in this manner allowed me to save time and pointed me in a direction that had a clear objective rather than wildly sifting through mountains of information.
Overview:
Moving through the various stages of work allowed me to experience multiple facets of a project that I have never before experienced. It has prepared me to develop future videos as well as helped me to learn how to refine my work. It took a significant amount of time and effort to write and rewrite my presentation content.
Takeaways:
Creating credible videos is difficult. Content writing can be time consuming and mentally taxing. Love the research because if you don’t then you are doing a disservice to yourself and your work.
