For my project, I am going to interview athletes from Idaho and other states then post those interviews on my podcast. The question I am going to ask is “How has COVID-19 effected your season?” Instead of making this a Q and A type of podcast, my goal is to make it more conversational so that it doesn’t sound too scripted and that my interviewee isn’t nervous when we are talking. My goal is to interview around 8 to 12 athletes so that I have enough content for my podcast and hoping that they aren’t too stale. I either went on to MaxPreps to find local or state athletes then search them up on Instagram and message them to see if they would want to be interviewed for my podcast. I made a contact list and messaged all of them on the list. The interview process is almost over for this portion of my project.
The interview process of my project is simple and takes about an hour or two for each interview. Editing each podcast is taking a very long time. Editing each podcast can range from 4 to 6 hours or maybe longer because I want it to sound like each athlete was next to me talking about their season and how COVID has affected it. I want to call my podcast “Offseason” because of how much effect COVID has students seasons.
