This semester for the 50-hour project I worked on branding Cotton Kandi Co. I broke down the 50 hours into three separate sections. The first section was the planning phase, the second was the design phase, and the third was the execution phase. My idea behind this company was inspired by my mother-in-law Kandi. Kandi has had a love for cotton candy her whole life and so I wanted to make this company after her.

Phase 1:

The first part of my project was the planning phase. During this time I developed the name, the business statement, the logo, and the style guide. These steps were critical in the rest of the design and execution phase of this project. The style guide was a very important part because it helped with my consistent branding across all channels, including the color fonts, as well as the right and wrong ways to display the brand.

Phase 2:

The second part of the project was the design phase. In the design phase, I took the assets from the first phase and made the product design for the business. During this part I designed, business cards, food truck design and product design. The importance of this part was to create assets that will then be used in the company content.

Phase 3:

The third part of the project was the execution phase. During this phase, I took product photography, made social media post mockups, and designed a website for my company.
