The Give a Gobble food drive was organized by Emily Zenger to provide food for the Family Crisis Center’s Food Bank. Emily reached out to different businesses, churches, and schools in the city of Rexburg to see if she could place a food drive collection bin at their location. Emily also created infographics that explained what food was expectable for food drives. These infographics were given to the Family Crisis Center to use for their future food drive, along with a custom letter head made specifically for the food drive.
Emily also created an advertisement about the food drive to help spread the word. The advertisement was posted on the Family Crisis Center’s social media and the social media of the locations where the food bins were placed. Finally, Emily wrote a press release for the Rexburg Standard Journal that contained information about the food drive.
Even though the Give a Gobble food drive will continue until November twenty-third, over two hundred cans of food have been donated and will be given to the Rexburg Family Crisis Center’s Food Bank to help those in need in the Rexburg community.
