Everyone is concerned about how they look in a swimsuit or who got into which grad school. But how many people are worried about their mental health? Mental health awareness has recently become a hot topic of conversation. With the need to hide your struggles practically nonexistent, people are speaking out about feeling alone and aren’t afraid to ask for help.
Madison Cares, located in Rexburg, Idaho, is a local organization that works closely with Madison County School District to help those that are struggling know they are not alone. I teamed up with them to create, plan, and advertise a mental health awareness month.
My responsibilities were to:
- Create advertising content
- Create a pr plan that could be used again in the future
- Participate in current events being held
During the month of May, I was able to get a solid understanding of exactly what my client was looking for. As I started brainstorming and creating, I was able to meet with the heads of Madison Cares to find a solid baseline starting point. Then I ran with it.
