Project Description

For my senior project, I reached out to a new business to cultivate their social media platform. Thrifted Lennons is owned by a BYU-Idaho student, Kambry, and although she had a physical store and inventory, she didn’t know how to utilize her social media to best serve her business. She had created a small following, but didn’t know how to read and track analytics or grow her audience. When I met with Kambry, she said she had no idea how to approach her social media.

After meeting with Kambry and discussing her goals for Thrifted Lennons and ideas I had, we decided to focus on creating a plan that would enhance her Instagram page. We decided on three main goals: creating a posting schedule to increase traffic, create a cohesive feed through photography and photo editing and to increase her followers from 1,300 to 1,700.

After implementing a posting schedule based on Kambry’s analytics as well as designing a preset to use for posts, Kambry’s feed is more cohesive and receive more interaction. Her followers now number over 1,850.

A large part of my senior project included tracking analytics and creating posts for Thrifted Lennons’ social media page on Instagram. Over the course of this two month project, followers grew from just under 1,300 to over 1,800 and the average number of likes rose from about 30 to almost 70.

Kambry’s sales increased over the course of this project not only at her physical location, but also in shipping orders taken through sales she conducted on her Instagram story. Kambry was able to move her store to a larger location with more inventory.

I created stickers to pass out at the senior showcase which were then sold to Thrifted Lennons at a discounted rate for Kambry to giveaway at her store.
