Project Summary
I had the opportunity to work with Saralyn Jensen, owner of The Avenues, a wedding venue in Rexburg, to create and execute a public relations campaign plan. My goal was to promote her business on social media and build brand awareness. This plan focused on building Instagram engagement on The Avenues Instagram page and planning a tradeshow event showcasing the businesses offerings and other local wedding vendors.
The social media portion of the plan will focus on boosting the engagement of followers on The Avenues Instagram page. First, we will gather data from the previous posts using Instagram Insights and then use this data to see the best performing posts. At the end of the social media campaign, I will once again evaluate the data using Instagram Insights. My ideas for how to increase engagement will include: first, a series of posts to announce the remodeling of The Avenues famous photo wall. The final post will be a giveaway offering a free photo shoot to the winner. Second, Saralyn will answer her followers questions through the Instagram questions option about herself and her venue.
The final part to the PR plan is the planning of a tradeshow event hosted at The Avenues. This event will host various wedding vendors, such as florists, photographers, videographers, wedding dress shops, and make-up artists. Future brides will be able to come and experience The Avenues venue, while finding vendors to fit their style and theme. I will research vendors we can use, and create a budget for food, décor, invites and marketing of the event. This event will help to boost business and brand awareness for Saralyn.
